JUST SAY HELL NO. Thinking clearly about the left's promises.
Found an excellent column by Tucker Carlson on the dangers coming from the radical left wing that is ready o throw out the constitutional protections that keep us safe from a fringe saying pleasant sounding, but foolhardy and impossible, promises. He says to JUST SAY NO, and HELL NO; so he is echoing my words.

What is truly harming our nation is not Trump, it is the self-serving political / corporate / deep state / media cabal so aptly labeled the "swamp". The country is a mess because this evil has festered in Washington for decades. Government has bloated far beyond its’ Constitutional bounds, providing ever increasing power to the “swamp”.
ReplyDeleteTrump is a narcissist (wears it on his sleeve), a bit of a jerk, and an egomaniac, but we don't care. He is NOT a politician. He was not elected to blend in with the D.C. sewer. He's not politically correct, not controlled by lobbyist money, not conned by professional politicians or bureaucrats, nor intimidated by the Leftist media. He's certainly no Saint, but we didn't vote for a Pope. He is known for getting things done. The endless attempts by the swamp to tear down this President are ample evidence that he's doing what we sent him to do. Many masks in the cabal have come off in the process.
We're sick of the in-your-face lawlessness (e-mail, dossier, FISA, IRS, on and on…), cowardly two-faced politicians, unaccountable bureaucrats, biased "journalists", and dirty money. We despise the fact that our Constitutional Republic has been twisted into a well-oiled system establishment to ensure that nobody is held to account, Congress in particular. Trump calls it as he sees it without fear that one group or another in the cabal will be offended. He clearly sees our country is in trouble from the corruption within, and wants to help fix it in any way he can. Trump could have done even more in his first two years with the help of some Congressional backbone.
Looking objectively from the outside in, we are well down the road to losing our privilege of liberty. Our liberty may be God given, but it is our privilege and responsibility to preserve it. Our almost boundless treasure has been squandered, our younger generations have been spoiled into a false sense of human nature and reality, our culture and morals have been significantly eroded, and our boarders are uncontrolled. The Left has our first and second amendment rights are under constant attack. The Left divides us into special groups with special rights to the point where we don’t recognized the country we were born and raised in.
I discussed these problems with my father in our last conversation and visit about a month before he passed suddenly. I needed to get these thoughts off my chest, and he was always a sound source of advice. We were in agreement on every aspect, but he added that it was probably too late to sound the alarm and order the necessary course correction to avoid disaster. As fellow USNA graduates, we enjoyed expression in nautical terms. Sadly I feel he may be correct, but I keep up the fight.
